Gerard R de V Tromp has a BCom marketing degree and is a chartered accountant (South Africa and Namibia) and completed his articles in 2008. After completion of his articles he joined the group in 2009 as the group company secretary, which role he fulfilled until 2012. During 2012, he was appointed as the managing director of the furniture segment. During 2014, he was appointed as deputy managing director of the group. On 18 April 2016, he was appointed as managing director of the group.
