Melanie Lorraine De Nyssehen

Melanie is a financial services industry professional with a legal background and extensive experience in the investment banking industry, specifically corporate finance and capital markets, including advising and executing on local- and cross border transactions in the listed and unlisted space.
A non-practicing Advocate, she holds a BA LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, is a graduate member of the Corporate Governance Institute of South Africa and is also a member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa. Melanie is currently completing her MBA at Henley Business School Africa.
Melanie is the founder and director of various entities active in the financial services-, private equity-, and venture capital industries, ultimately in support of an economy in which more small- and medium-sized enterprises succeed, with a current focus area on investing for financial return while also considering the benefits to women, both through improving economic opportunities and social well-being for girls and women through her investments in Creative Growth Capital, and Grovest. She serves on multiple Boards and is the current Chairperson of the Joburg Ballet Company. She joined the board as a non-executive director in February 2021.
