Hendrik J. Pretorius (Hennie) has collectively gained more than a decade of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He obtained his BCom in Economics from the University of Pretoria and also completed a BCom Honours degree in General Management. He holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) certification, awarded by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

Hennie joined Corporate Guarantee in 2018 as a Risk Finance Consultant and was promoted to Senior Risk Finance Consultant in 2021. In 2022, he assumed the role of Manager and has served as one of the company’s Key Individuals since then. In 2024, Hennie was promoted to Chief Executive Officer, and in 2025, he joined the Board of Directors as Managing Director.
