Non-executive director

Sarita has been an independent non-executive director for various companies since 2013. She is currently the Chairman of Nictus Limited, UsPlus Limited and The Integrated Exchange. She serves as a director of JSE Listed entities, unlisted entities and NPCs. She has chaired and been a member of Remuneration Committees as well as a member of Audit, Risk and Social and Ethics Committees, Governance and Nominations Committees.

Sarita is an admitted attorney who holds various qualifications including but not limited to a B.Proc. LLB, MBA (GIBS), accredited mediator for South Africa and the Centre for Dispute Resolution in the UK. She is also a coach for aspiring and existing directors. Sarita holds an international designation in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and an international designation in Climate from Competent Boards Canada, and she is also a Certified Director®.

She is currently on the core faculty of the Institute of Directors South Africa NPC as a governance specialist conducting training, facilitation, board evaluations, coaching and governance advisory services.

Sarita was a Public Defender and Prosecutor prior to joining the corporate world and spent most of her corporate career in financial services.
